The group gathers
as the storm clears - but the real trouble is just beginning.
When the hurricane abates, Ziggy, an old gangland pal of Johnny Rocco's, arrives to buy a shipment of counterfeit currency - Rocco's ticket to make his comeback in the States. Shortly after Ziggy's departure, Sheriff Ben Wade comes to the hotel, still in search of his missing deputy - and finds the officer's body washed ashore. Rocco implies that the deputy was murdered by the Indians who were on the premises during the storm. When Wade confronts two of the young men they try to run and the Sheriff shoots them down.
