Tales of Manhattan (1942)
is an episodic venture from director Julien Duvivier. The episodes are
linked by a common device - a tuxedo, or a dress coat with tails (the pun was
intended?). It assembles an all-star cast with sections featuring Charles
Laughton, Edward G. Robinson, Ginger Rogers and Henry Fonda.
Stylishly done with intriguing atmosphere and good performances.
