Buster Keaton
Buster Keaton in "Go West," 1925, with Kathleen Myers.
Keaton, born to medicine show parents, left the family act to become
a sad-faced genius of silent film comedy. Struggling to maintain his stardom in talkies,
ill health forced him to leave acting and he later became an uncredited gag writer,
but never to be forgotten for classics like "The General," 1927.
