Adventure (1945)


"Gable's Back and Garson's Got Him!" was the tagline for this, Clark Gable's first movie after his return from serving in WWII. He's a sailor who hooks up with sassy Joan Blondell, then begins a tug of war with Blondell's friend, opinionated librarian Greer Garson. Opposites attract, indeed, and a rocky romance it proves to be. Thomas Mitchell also costars.
