Humphrey Bogart's a disgruntled factory worker who joins a secret society called the Black Legion (basically, the Ku Klux Klan) and gets in over his head, destroying his marriage and his life.
(Black Legion is part of the DVD set Warners Gangster Collection #3, but has apparently been discontinued as a single DVD commercial release.)
