Blithe Spirit   (1945)

Thoroughly enjoyable Noel Coward story of a young British couple (Rex Harrison, Contance Cummings) who invite the local eccentric (Margaret Rutherford) to perform a seance at their dinner party. They all find it oh, so amusing until later that night, when who should show up but the ghost of Rex's first wife, Elvira (Kay Hammond).  Elvira's quite put out at being called from 'the other side', the current Mrs. is naturally very ticked off, and Rex - well, he finds after awhile that he's enjoying the whole situation.  A Technicolor gem.

Quality: 10/10
